The Book Club aims to connect authors with interested readers through curated reading campaigns, guided discussions, author interviews, virtual literary events, reader recommendations, book features, seasonal reading challenges, community recognition, newsletter features and author networking.

How our events work

Readers and authors explore the event, its theme, and participation requirements.

Participants complete a registration form and receive confirmation after their registration is successfully recorded.

Registered participants receive confirmed event details and relevant discussion questions.

The host welcomes attendees, introduces the featured book and author, and facilitates the discussion.

Readers submit reflections and participate in moderated discussions.

Participants receive appropriate event recaps, feedback opportunities, and details of upcoming activities, subject to consent.
Event registration
Registrations are recorded straight away and shown with a reference. Confirmed dates, time zone and joining details are sent once the session is scheduled.
Upcoming initiative
A transparent programme to recognise books, authors and readers. It has not launched yet: there are no previous winners and no rankings. Nominations are open now and will be reviewed when the first voting period is announced.

We understand that every author has different goals, circumstances, and budgets. If our listed packages do not fit your current needs, please contact us. We welcome conversations about your book, the readers you hope to reach, and whether a different scope or phased approach may be suitable.

No. Packages provide defined participation and visibility. They never influence nominations, voting, reviews or results.

About the club
The club exists so readers can spend time with a book properly: a shared title, threads that stay open for as long as the conversation lasts, and authors who answer questions themselves rather than through a publicist.
Every account is a real person with a confirmed email address. We do not inflate membership, invent activity or publish reviews that a reader did not write. What you see on this page is read from the community database.
Membership is free. Discussions, author sessions and literary events are open to every verified member.

One account covers the book club, the author community, event registration and your reading profile.
Step one
Register with a real email address and confirm it. Reader and author accounts both have full club access.
Step two
Add your name, reading interests and, if you write, your author details. You control what is shown.
Step three
Post in any reading room, reply to other members and follow the threads you want to keep up with.
Step four
Register for a club meeting or author session and join the room at the scheduled time.

Author sessions
Approved authors and Meridian staff host book discussions, Q&A, writing sessions, career conversations and publishing education. Rooms open only at the scheduled time, we never present an empty room as a live session.
An author joins the room for the title the club has just read and answers members directly.
Working sessions on drafting and revision, plus honest conversations about publishing as a career.
Editorial, rights, translation and distribution explained by the staff who handle those stages.
Open the live room for Book Club. Anyone in this group who opens the same room joins the same conversation, so share the link and start on time.
Your camera and microphone stay off until you open the room and grant permission in the join screen.
