Registering an account gives you the community, resources and consultation desks. Publishing is a separate step: an editorial review of your book, your rights and your goals.
Introduction
Why there is an application at all
Anyone can create an account here. Publishing access is different, because taking on a book commits editorial, production and distribution capacity for months, and commits your name to whatever we produce together.
The application exists so both sides can make that decision with information. We read the material, check the rights position, and reply with a decision and a reason. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, and we would rather decline early than fail slowly.
If we decline, you keep everything: your rights, your manuscript, and a written note on what would change our answer.

Is the writing ready, and if not, how far from ready? We read a substantial sample, not just a synopsis.

Print, ebook, audio, translation, or some combination, and what each realistically requires.

From application to decision
Day one
Application received
You get an acknowledgement with a reference. Nothing is shared outside the reviewing team.
Weeks one to three
Editorial reading
An editor reads the sample or full manuscript and writes an internal assessment.
Weeks three to four
Review meeting
Editorial, rights and production review the assessment together, including rights and schedule.
Week four
Decision
Acceptance with a proposed plan, an invitation to resubmit after specific work, or a decline with reasons.

Submission is confidential
Your manuscript is read only by the editors assessing it and is never shared or published without your agreement.
No fee to apply
Applying costs nothing. Any service that carries a cost is quoted separately and only after a decision.
Acceptance is not automatic
We decline applications regularly, including good books that do not fit the list or the schedule.
You keep your rights
Nothing in the application transfers rights. Any licence comes later, in a signed publishing agreement.

Questions we are asked
Do I need a finished manuscript?
Not necessarily. Tell us the honest status. Complete drafts get a faster answer; partials are assessed on the strength of what exists plus the plan.
Can I apply with a self-published book?
Yes, if you control the rights. Say what has been published, where, and what you would like to change.
How much does publishing cost?
It depends entirely on the plan. Costs are quoted in writing after the review; see the pricing page for the ranges we usually work within.
Can I reapply if declined?
Yes. Where we suggest specific work, we tell you so, and a revised submission gets a fresh read.
